About Wasatch Travel Helper
Wasatch Travel Helper is a fast, glanceable dashboard for Little Cottonwood Canyon (LCC) and Big Cottonwood Canyon (BCC) in Utah. It brings together live road status, UDOT message signs and cameras, UTA ski bus info, weather snapshots, and avalanche advisories to help you plan safer trips. This is a community‑built project and is not an official source.
How to use this site
- Select a canyon (LCC/BCC) to see a summary of current travel times, delay, and vehicle volume.
- Scroll through curated cameras, weather stations, and message signs for a quick situational picture.
- Use the UTA bus section to track vehicles, stops, and routes when transit is your best option.
- Tap “Travel Times” to open Google/Apple Maps for a route matching UDOT’s segments.
Data sources
Live data comes from:
- UDOT Traffic — road message signs, cameras, and travel‑time routes.
- NOAA/NWS — weather observations at stations in the canyons.
- Utah Avalanche Center — regional avalanche advisories.
- UTA — ski bus routes, stops, and vehicle locations.
All trademarks and data belong to their respective owners. This site aggregates public information for convenience only.
