Statewide

Wichita
Wichita, the state's largest city, is wrapped in freeways: US-54/US-400 (Kellogg Avenue) runs east-west across the city with interchanges at I-235, I-135, and the I-35 Kansas Turnpike, while K-96 (the Northwest Expressway) sweeps the northeast side. I-135 (US-81) carries north-south traffic toward Newton and Salina, and I-235 forms the western bypass past Eisenhower National Airport (ICT). Kansas City Metro
The Kansas side of the KC metro is a dense freeway grid: the I-435 beltway loops through Overland Park, Lenexa, and Olathe, I-635 cuts north through Kansas City, Kansas, and I-35 funnels Johnson County commuters toward downtown and the Turnpike. K-10 (the South Lawrence Trafficway connection) links the metro to Lawrence, and US-69 runs south through Overland Park. Salina
