Tennessee TDOT Cameras — Live Road Cameras & Map

This map brings together hundreds of live TDOT traffic cameras from the Tennessee Department of Transportation's SmartWay system into one fast, searchable view. Tennessee runs long and narrow from the Mississippi River to the Smoky Mountains, and TDOT concentrates its roughly 667 cameras in the four big metros and the mountain corridors in between. Whether you're checking the downtown loop in Nashville, the river bridges in Memphis, or the truck-heavy grade over Monteagle Mountain, you can see current road conditions at a glance instead of guessing.

Coverage follows the state's busiest corridors. In Middle Tennessee, I-40, I-24, and I-65 all converge in downtown Nashville, ringed by the I-440 connector, the I-840 southern loop, and Briley Parkway. In the west, Memphis is laced by I-40, I-55, and the I-240 loop with the wider I-269 outerbelt, anchored at the Hernando de Soto Bridge (I-40) over the Mississippi into Arkansas. East Tennessee adds Knoxville's I-40/I-75 split with the I-640 loop, I-140 and Pellissippi Parkway, and Chattanooga's tangle of I-24, I-75, and I-59 at the famous Ridge Cut through Missionary Ridge. Up in the northeast, the Tri-Cities of Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol sit on I-81 and I-26.

One important note on weather: these SmartWay cameras do not carry road-weather sensors on the public feed, so this map supplements each camera with the nearest airport's conditions from the National Weather Service, shown alongside the image rather than read off an on-road sensor. That airport reading is a useful gut check for temperature, wind, and visibility, but always confirm pavement conditions with your own eyes on the camera and with TDOT before you drive.
