In the southeast you'll find dense coverage around New Orleans — I-10, the I-610 bypass and I-510 spur, the US-90 Westbank Expressway, the Crescent City Connection over the Mississippi, the Superdome interchange, and the I-10 Twin Span over Lake Pontchartrain — running west through Metairie and Kenner. Baton Rouge is the choke point where I-10 and I-12 split and where the Horace Wilkinson Bridge carries I-10 over the river. West of there, I-10 crosses the 18-mile Atchafalaya Basin Bridge toward Lafayette and Acadiana, continues over the Calcasieu River at Lake Charles toward Texas, and I-20, I-49 and I-220 carry the north through Shreveport, Bossier City, Ruston and Monroe.
